Mugshots Photography – Booking Terms and Conditions
1. Bookings and payments
1.1 A non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the total booking fee is required to confirm and reserve the booking date.
1.2 For bookings made fewer than seven days before the event, the 50% deposit must be paid by midnight on the date the booking is made.
1.3 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the outstanding balance must be paid in full on the day of the event.
1.4 Photography services start from £150 per hour. Wedding photography prices are provided separately and must be agreed by telephone or in writing.
2. Cancellations and refunds
2.1 Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing by Mugshots Photography.
2.2 Cancellations made between 72 hours and seven days before the booking will incur a 50 % cancellation fee.
2.3 Cancellations made fewer than 72 hours before the booking will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the total booking price.
2.4 Once a photoshoot has taken place, all fees are non-refundable.
3. Late arrival
If the client, their guests, or other relevant participants are late, an additional fee of £50 per hour may be charged. Time lost because of late arrival may also reduce the agreed coverage time.
4. Delivery of photographs and video
4.1 Edited photographs and videos will normally be delivered within four weeks of the event through a downloadable Microsoft OneDrive link.
4.2 Online previews may initially appear in low resolution, depending on the client’s internet connection. Downloaded files will be supplied in high resolution where applicable.
4.3 RAW files are available only upon request and subject to Mugshots Photography’s approval. Where physical delivery is required, the client must provide a suitable USB storage device.
5. Review and approval
5.1 Images may be reviewed during the photoshoot where reasonably practicable.
5.2 The client will be asked to provide verbal confirmation of their satisfaction at the end of the photoshoot.
5.3 Sample or preview images may be supplied with a watermark. Watermarked images must not be published, reproduced, altered, distributed, or otherwise used without the prior consent of Mugshots Photography.
6. Copyright and promotional use
6.1 Copyright in all photographs and videos remains with Mugshots Photography unless expressly transferred under a separate written agreement.
6.2 Subject to full payment, the client will receive permission to use the delivered photographs and videos for the purposes agreed at the time of booking.
6.3 The client grants Mugshots Photography permission to display selected photographs and videos for portfolio and promotional purposes, including on its website and social-media accounts, unless otherwise agreed in writing before the event.
7. Travel, parking and refreshments
7.1 Where applicable, the client is responsible for the London Congestion Charge and must provide two suitable parking permits or parking spaces on the day of the booking.
7.2 For extended event coverage, suitable food and refreshments must be provided to the attending team at no additional cost. Where possible, the team should be served alongside the first table or group receiving food to minimise disruption to the coverage.
8. Drone photography and filming
8.1 Drone services are subject to weather conditions, applicable laws, licensing requirements, airspace restrictions, venue permission and the professional judgement of the drone operator.
8.2 Drones cannot be flown safely in rain, high winds, restricted airspace or other unsuitable conditions. Mugshots Photography does not guarantee that drone services will be possible on the day.
8.3 The client must provide the complete venue postcode in advance and check the proposed location using the DJI FlySafe map. The client should search for the road name and confirm whether the location falls within or near a restricted area.
8.4 A preliminary map check does not guarantee that a flight will be lawful, authorised or safe. The final decision remains with the drone operator.
Funeral Coverage Terms
The following additional terms apply to funeral coverage.
9. Before the booking
9.1 A 50% deposit must be paid within 48 hours of making the booking. The booking will not be confirmed until the deposit has been received.
9.2 Complete venue details, service times and all relevant instructions must be provided by email when the booking is confirmed.
9.3 Unless otherwise agreed, YouTube livestream titles will use one of the following formats:
“Mr/Mrs [Full Name] – Funeral Livestream”; or
“Mr/Mrs [Full Name] – A Celebration of Life.”
The client is responsible for providing the correct spelling of the deceased’s full name and approving the wording.
10. Coverage on the day
10.1 Funeral coverage is limited to a maximum of four hours unless additional time has been agreed in advance.
10.2 The team requires access to the venue at least 30 minutes before guests enter to allow sufficient time for equipment setup and testing.
10.3 Unless otherwise agreed, the funeral package covers the church or venue service and the graveside service. Coverage of a wake may be arranged for an additional fee.
11. Livestreaming and technical limitations
11.1 Livestreaming depends on third-party platforms, internet availability, mobile-network coverage and conditions at the venue. Mugshots Photography cannot guarantee an uninterrupted or fault-free livestream.
11.2 Signal quality may be affected by the venue’s location or construction, aircraft, electronic equipment, mobile phones, mobility equipment, metal objects, the number and position of guests, and other circumstances outside Mugshots Photography’s reasonable control.
11.3 The client and venue must provide adequate space around the filming and streaming equipment. Mugshots Photography may provide instructions or make announcements on the day to reduce interference.
11.4 If a livestream cannot proceed or is interrupted because of technical problems or other unforeseen circumstances—including platform authorisation issues or inadequate reception—Mugshots Photography will, where reasonably possible, record the event and upload it afterwards using a replacement viewing link.
11.5 Mugshots Photography will take reasonable care in providing the service but will not be liable for failures caused by third-party platforms, internet providers, venue conditions or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
12. Prices
Current package prices are available through the Mugshots Photography booking page. The price stated in the client’s confirmed booking will apply.
13. Independent freelancers
Where Mugshots introduces or provides an independent freelancer but is not present at the event, any verbal or written agreement shall be entered into solely between the individual making the booking and the freelancer. Mugshots shall not be considered a party to that agreement or the event and accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage, claim, act, or omission arising from or in connection with either.
